2.   Cerner Nursing Assistant of the Year Scholarship

Developed in collaboration with the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordination (AANAC), the Nursing Assistant of the Year Scholarship Program is sponsored by Cerner.

Those nursing assistants who are now enrolled or who plan to enroll in a degree program will have the option to receive financial support to help cover the costs of their educational endeavors through this program.

A scholarship program sponsored by Cerner and the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordination (AANAC) that provides financial assistance to nursing assistants who plan to enroll in or are currently enrolled in a degree program is available.

A panel evaluates work ethic and passion for the CAN profession. Applicants must have at least one year of experience in the long-term care business for a licensed long-term care facility to be considered for the position.

3.   FNSNA Scholarship Program

The FNSNA has worked to advance the nursing profession since its founding in 1969 via scholarship, leadership, and professional development.

Individuals and organizations interested in nursing education have established scholarships within the FNSNA, which the FNSNA Scholarship Committee administers.

The Federation of National Student Nurses of America (FNSNA) continues to increase its support for nursing education and the future of the nursing profession.

4.   Nurse Corps Scholarship Program

Awarded to certified nursing assistants who live and work in areas with a shortage of medical professionals, this scholarship program covers tuition, fees, and reasonable costs while providing a monthly stipend to help them get started.

In exchange, graduates undertake to work for the HPSA for two years.

If you meet the following criteria, you are eligible:

• You must be a citizen of the United States (born or naturalized), a national of another country, or a lawful permanent resident.
• You have been accepted or are currently enrolled in a nursing degree program at a recognized nursing school in the United States.
• Classes should begin no later than September 30
• There are no federal judgment liens against you
• There is no existing service commitment to fulfill
• You haven’t missed a payment on government debt.

5.   Nurse Aide Certification Testing Scholarships (CNA)

A new scholarship offered through the KCC Foundation is available to eligible CNA students who have graduated from KCC’s program within 60 days of testing and need financial assistance.

The scholarship will cover the cost of the testing fees.

Assisted living facilities employ nursing assistants to provide primary care services to patients under the supervision of nursing staff. These services include feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and moving.

Graduates who pass the CNA certification exam and get their certification often find employment in nursing homes, assisted living institutions, or home health care assistants.

6.   CNA Scholarship Listing | Northeast Community College, Nebraska

Northeast Community College and the Northeast Foundation developed student scholarships, merit tuition exemptions, and performance grants to assist students in their educational pursuits.

Qualifications, deadlines, and award amounts vary from one program to the next.

Application and Eligibility Requirements:

Before a student can be considered for a scholarship award, the Admissions Office requires that the student have a current Application for Admission on file.

A student’s FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must also be received and verified by the Financial Aid Office to be considered for a scholarship that requires proof of financial need.

Scholarships that require students to demonstrate financial need will be awarded to students pending verification of condition through the FAFSA application process.

Suppose a scholarship recipient does not demonstrate need or does not submit a FAFSA. The scholarship will be taken from their financial aid award, and the scholarship will be awarded to the alternate recipient.

7.   TALSN Scholarship for Certified Nursing Assistants

Everyone should have access to a good education today because it is the driving force of opportunity and will power their future and provide for future generations.

Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC) students can complete a 120-hour certified nursing assistant program. The college provides financial assistance to students through scholarships and tuition waivers.

Most awards are based on financial need, and applicants must submit a FAFSA to determine their eligibility and the school’s application form.

The Lewis-Clark Foundation offers scholarships to students within and outside the state.

As part of the RaiseMe scholarship program, which provides high school students with the opportunity to generate additional financial aid in the years leading up to college, it is also a participant.

Students enrolled in the CNA program at Lewis-Clark State College are eligible to apply.

Applicants must have a desire to pursue a career in-home care. The program will give those with prior experience in this particular field consideration.

9.   CNA Scholarship Spotlight: Forsyth Tech Community College

Several scholarships for healthcare-related studies are available through Forsyth Tech Community College, including several awards designated explicitly for certified nursing assistants.

These scholarships are made possible through the generosity of the school, its endowments, and many regionally-based foundations.

The awards are available in renewable and non-renewable forms, with requirements based on need or merit to support the most significant number of applicants.

10. DMACC Announces Tuition-Free Scholarships for 100 New Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Students Starting Spring

The scarcity of CNA professionals has prompted a renewed push to recruit students into the program.

• The new CNA scholarship is open to all prospective students who meet the requirements.
• There are no requirements in terms of income or academic achievement. The scholarship will be awarded to the first 100 qualified applicants who apply.

The first in-person CNA classes will begin on January 10 and be held at all six campuses and the Southridge Learning Center.

To accommodate new students enrolling in the College’s Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) program at any of the college’s six campuses or Southridge Center, DMACC will begin accepting scholarship applications immediately.

The new CNA Scholarship will be awarded to the first 100 students who apply and meet the requirements. For the 75-hour, three-credit certification program, the grant will cover the costs of tuition, fees, and books.

The scholarship is valued at approximately $700.

11. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Scholarship

Rockingham Community College offers nursing assistant training courses that you can take. The study program is scheduled to last up to 12 weeks.

If you complete the program, you can begin a rewarding career as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) at UNC Rockingham Health Care.

Who is eligible to apply for the scholarship?

If you meet the following criteria, you are eligible to apply for the scholarship:

• The Nursing Assistant I Program at Rockingham Community College is enrolled or registered.
• Meet with the scholarship applicant and agree to the terms of the agreement on the scholarship application.

To be considered for the scholarship, you must complete the following steps:

Complete the application for the CNA scholarship.

Fill out the scholarship application and include a brief essay explaining why you are interested in this scholarship, your financial need, and what it would mean to be a scholarship recipient to the Scholarship Selection Committee.

12.                Mercer Foundation for Health Scholarships for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)

According to the organization, the Mercer Foundation for Health, Scholarships for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are available to students interested in working with patients who cannot care for themselves or as a first step toward a degree in nursing.

Requirements for Eligibility:

It is necessary to be 17 years old or older and enrolled in or have previously attended one of the following high schools: Mercer County, Rockridge, or Sherrard.

Scholarship Requirements:

• The Foundation will make one-time awards of up to five hundred dollars ($500) to each recipient.
• Each applicant is required to submit a total of two letters of recommendation.
• Each applicant must submit an essay response to the essay question on the application.
• Applicants selected for an interview with the scholarship committee will be notified beforehand.
• When the Scholarship recipient has completed the CNA program, the Foundation hopes that they will seek and obtain employment in Mercer County at one of the following locations: Genesis Medical Center in Aledo; Genesis Senior Living in Aledo.

The following options are available: Brookstone Assisted Living, Aledo Health and Rehabilitation Center, or Living, Aledo.

Criteria for selection include:

All of the following will be considered: letters of recommendation, activities, interviews, and the overall quality of the application essay.

13. Senior Helpers Scholarships

Senior Helpers, a home care company based in Huntsville, Alabama, offers scholarships for the current (starting March 9, 2022) and future (beginning April 18, 2022) CNA classes to individuals who agree to work as caregivers for the company.

Scholarships are available for the current (starting March 9, 2022) and future (beginning April 18, 2022) classes.

REQUIREMENTS:

Fill out and submit the CNA Pre-Screening Form – CNA Pre-Screening Form.

Calhoun Community College will schedule qualified applicants for an in-person interview with a Senior Helpers representative as soon as possible after receiving their application.

Senior Helpers will provide the following services if they are hired:

• Senior Helpers will cover the $799 tuition fee
• Senior Helpers will cover the cost of the background check and drug screening
• Senior Helpers will provide the 2-part tuberculosis skin tests (two tests for 2 12 weeks) at no cost
• After completing the program, students must be able to pay the $75 state certification exam fee, which is required. Senior Helpers will reimburse employees’ expenses based on the number of hours they have worked.

14. Cascade Healthcare Nurses Make A Difference Scholarship

High school students who have been accepted into an approved college or university and plan to pursue a nursing degree are also eligible to apply for this scholarship, as are current undergraduate nursing students.

Applicants must be legal residents of the United States or student visa holders, be at least 18 years old, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to be eligible for consideration.

The recipient will receive a $1,000 one-time payment to their student account.

15. TravelNurseSource Future U.S. Nurse Scholarship

First-time undergraduate students who have completed at least one semester in a US nursing school are eligible for the scholarship.

The applicant must be a legal resident of the United States, be at least 18 years old, and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher to be eligible for consideration.

Terms and Conditions of the Award: A one-time payment of $2,000 is made directly to the educational institution and applied to the recipient’s current tuition.

Applicants must submit a 30-second to 1-minute self-made video and their application.

The video must explain why the applicant wants to be a nurse and how the scholarship award will help them achieve that goal.

16. TYLENOL Future Care Scholarship

Students pursuing a degree inactive patient treatment at an accredited 2- or 4-year nonprofit college, university, or vocational-technical school are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

It would be best if you were a US or Puerto Rican citizen with at least one year of school left to apply. Applicants must have completed at least one year of undergraduate study by the application deadline.

Students only need to show proof of enrollment if they are graduate students.

Applicants must submit an essay and have their college GPA, academic records, community involvement, and volunteer service evaluated to determine which students will be awarded the scholarship.

Each year, ten awards of $10,000 and thirty of $5,000 are given out as part of the program’s annual awards program.

The donated funds must cover tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment for the recipient’s education.

17.   Hurst Review Services Nursing AACN Scholarship

For this scholarship, students must attend an accredited nursing school member of the American Association for Colleges of Nursing (AACN) (AACN).

Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an AACN-accredited nursing program to be eligible.

Awards: Each year, two $2,500 scholarships are given out.

18. Association of periOperative Registered Nurses Foundation (AORN) Scholarship

An accredited bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral program in perioperative nursing must be eligible for this scholarship.

Applicants must have a passion for perioperative nursing and pursue further education to be considered. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is required for admission.

Financial need is also taken into account.

Awards vary in value and can be used to pay for eligible expenses, such as tuition and books.

Hemodialysis, chronic kidney disease, peritoneal dialysis, acute care, and transplantation are all areas in which they practice.

Members pursuing a BSN or advanced nursing degree are eligible for the Career Mobility Scholarship. A total of $45,000 in scholarships are given out each year.

To apply, candidates must have been active members of the organization for at least two years.

Work with kidney patients and have a nephrology nursing certificate from the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission. A baccalaureate degree or higher is required of all applicants.
